Leslie Geddes-Brown

Leslie Geddes-Brown: a life-long journalist who worked as arts correspondent of The Sunday Times and deputy editor for both Country Life and World of Interiors. Now a freelance writer and author of 19 books on gardens and interior design. Most recently Books Do Furnish a Room and A Book for Cooks (both published by Merrell, the latter this autumn.) Others include Chelsea: the Greatest Flower Show on Earth (Dorling Kindersley) and Walled Gardens (Merrell.)

She’s a member of the Guild of Food Writers, having had a weekly column on food in Country Life for whom she still reviews cookery books and detective stories. Not much time for pastimes (apart from buying large wooden Chinese deers) - she’s managed to make her hobbies into her work and gets paid for the pleasure.
